EMPACS Group (“EMPACS,” “we,” “us”) operates empacsgroup.com, an online store for ATP hygiene monitoring products, infection prevention supplies and janitorial products. This page explains what information we collect when you use the site, what we do with it, and the choices you have. Information you give us

Orders. When you place an order we collect your name, company name, billing and shipping addresses, email address, phone number and the items you bought. We need this to process the order, ship it and send you confirmation and tracking emails.

Payment. Card payments are processed by Square. Your card number goes to Square, not to us; we see only the last four digits and the payment status. If your business pays by invoice or purchase order, we collect the purchase order number and the billing contact for that account.

Accounts. If you create a customer account, we store your login email, password (encrypted), saved addresses and order history so you can reorder and track shipments. Auto-ship orders are tied to your account.

Contact and newsletter forms. When you use the contact form we collect the name, email, phone and message you enter. When you sign up for emails we collect your email address. The contact form uses Google reCAPTCHA to block spam, which means Google receives your IP address and browser information for that check.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, the site records your IP address, browser type, the pages you visit and the links you click. We use the following tools, each of which sets cookies or similar identifiers in your browser:

Google Analytics to see which pages people visit and where visitors come from.
Google Ads conversion and remarketing tags to measure advertising and to show ads to people who have visited the site.
Mailchimp and Omnisend, our email tools, which track email opens, clicks and cart activity for people who have signed up or ordered.
WooCommerce, the store software, which uses cookies to remember your cart and keep you logged in.

The site is hosted on WP Engine and delivered through Cloudflare. Both process traffic to the site, including IP addresses, to serve pages and block attacks.

How we use your information

To process, ship and support your orders, including sending order confirmations and tracking numbers.
To answer questions sent through the contact form or by phone.
To send product news and offers by email, if you signed up or ordered from us. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
To understand how the site is used and to fix problems.
To measure and run our advertising.
To meet legal and tax obligations, such as keeping sales records.

We do not sell your personal information.

Who we share it with

We share information only with companies that help us run the store, and only what they need for that job:

Square for card payments.
FedEx and other carriers for shipping, who receive your name, address and phone number.
Mailchimp and Omnisend for email.
Google for analytics, advertising and reCAPTCHA.
WP Engine and Cloudflare for hosting and delivery.

We will also share information when the law requires it, for example in response to a valid subpoena, or to protect the rights and safety of EMPACS, our customers or others.

Your choices

Email. Click the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, or email us and we will remove you.
Cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking WooCommerce cookies will stop the cart and login from working.
Ads. You can turn off personalized Google ads at adssettings.google.com. Google also offers a browser add-on to opt out of Google Analytics.
Access, correction and deletion. Email support@empacsgroup.com to ask what information we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. We may need to keep order records for tax and accounting purposes even after a deletion request.

How long we keep it

We keep order and invoice records for as long as tax and accounting rules require. We keep account information until you ask us to delete the account. Email tool data stays until you unsubscribe or ask to be removed.

Security

The site uses HTTPS, card details are handled by Square rather than stored on our systems, and access to order information is limited to staff who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.

Children

The site sells to businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be noted on this page for at least 30 days.
